

Dr. C Christian Benyei
Dr. Benyei has been at the Schulhof Animal Hospital since 1971 and has been its owner since 1975. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Connecticut and obtained his DVM from Cornell University in 1968. Dr. Benyei is a superb diagnostician who gradually became interested in more holistic approaches to veterinary medicine. As a result he has steered our practice in this direction. He is particularly well versed in nutritional and herbal approaches. He is a long-standing member of the FCVMA, CVMA, AVMA, and The Holistic VMA. In his spare time Dr. Benyei enjoys the South West, crafts, gardening, carpentry and maintaining all the mechanical equipment on his horse farm. He resides in Redding with his wife Candace. The Benyei's have two grown children - daughter Tara, who does all the graphic design for the hospital, and Christian who keeps the computers running and works as a veterinary technician when he is not tending to his own computer consulting business. Other members of the family include Harriet, the happy, chubby, black lab who was adopted because she has a congenital elbow problem, and her "puppy", Tigger the cat who was rescued as a tiny feral kitten, brought up by Harriet, and now thinks he is a dog, and a new addition to the family, Cee Cee or as her official name is, Carbon Copy, a loveable and sweet black lab that looks uncannily like Harriet.
Dr. Vicki June
Dr. June graduated from the New York Veterinary College at Cornell in 1995 and has been with Schulhof Animal Hospital since March of 2001. She specializes in companion animals, pocket pets, and is a certified acupuncturist. Her primary interests are dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and acupuncture. She is a member of the FCVMA, CVMA, and AVMA. In her spare time she enjoys equestrian competition with her husband who is a horse trainer, as well as spending time in their house in Massachusetts and hiking with their two canine companions Lisa and Moe. Lisa is a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback and Moe is their newly adopted collie mix. Both Lisa and Moe are extremly loving and enjoy playing all day and sleeping all night.
Dr. Anna DiCicco
Dr. DiCicco, a native of Italy and graduate of the University of Turin in 1984 came to the Schulhof Animal Hospital with many years of experience in veterinary medicine. Joining the staff in January 2002 she brings with her experience from working in veterinary hospitals both in Connecticut and New York. She also enjoys assisting her husband Vincent in his equine veterinary practice. She is a member of the FCVMA, CVMA, AVMA, and AAFP. Dr DiCicco lives in Stamford with her husband and two sons, James and Marc, her two male cats Pickles and Roberto, and her Jack Russell Terrier, Gigi, who is the newest addition to her family . In her spare time she enjoys gardening, carpentry, painting, horseback riding, reading and of course traveling to Italy.
Dr. Irwin Lebish
Dr. Lebish comes to us with 25 years of clinical practice as a past owner and director of a small animal hospital in upper Fairfield County, as well as many years in pharmacological research. He received his B.S. in pharmacy from Fordham University, and his D.V.M. from Cornell. He is also Board Certified in Veterinary Pathology. Dr. Lebish is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Pathology, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Society of Toxicologic Pathologists, and Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. He lives with his wife Cathy, who is a registered nurse, and his three male cats, Sweet Pea, Benny, and Clifford, in Westport.
Dr. Candace Benyei
Dr. Candace Benyei is our Hospital Administrator, and the wife of Dr. Christian Benyei. Although she is also a doctor, her patients are mostly of the two-legged persuasion. She is a member of the VHMA (Veterinary Hospital Managers Association), and the American Animal Hospital Association. In her spare time she breeds and trains horses, gives riding lessons, writes poetry and non-fiction, and is a biochemist, psychotherapist, corporate and conflict resolution consultant, minister, and classical homeopath. And, as if that was not enough, she also likes to garden, spoil her kitty, Tigger, and her pet horse, Lucy, and travel to Santa Fe.
