Dr. Leonard Schulhof
opened Schulhof Animal Hospital in 1946 in what we know as the Taylor residence,
built in 1770. During the Civil War, this very building, in which we are still
located, was General Sherman's headquarters. In 1972 Dr. Christian Benyei became
Dr. Schulhof's Associate and in 1977 he and Dr. Don Pelloth purchased the
practice. Finally, in 1985 , Dr. Pelloth retired and Dr. Benyei purchased the
practice in its entirety. Over the years we have modernized and expanded our
hospital, pet spa, and grooming facilities to meet our client's needs. In 1999
we did a major remodeling, completely refurbishing and enlarging the original
building to 9000 square feet. We have also created separate waiting areas and
exam rooms for our canine and feline patients. As always we strive to maintain a
superior level of service while progressing with the advances in veterinary
medicine.
